Home Customer Service Dollar Energy Fund

The Dollar Energy Fund provides assistance to residential customers who may be experiencing a hardship which may have been caused due to job loss or illness.

To qualify for assistance, certain guidelines must be met:

  • Eligible customers must apply for all available assistance grants including LIHEAP before applying to the Dollar Energy Fund.
  • Applicants must meet the grant program income guidelines, including making a sincere effort of payment of at least $150 in the last 90 days. 62 or older must have paid at least $100 in the last 90 days.
  • Applicants must have an outstanding balance of at least $100.

Applications for the Dollar Fund are accepted March 1 through October.  Please speak to a company representative for detailed grant information. The Dollar Energy Fund makes all decisions on who receives help and how much. They review the family’s or individual’s needs based on specific criteria, directing help where it’s needed most.

Want to help your neighbor in need?

Add $1 or more each month to your electric bill. Your tax-deductible contribution will go into the grant program and Wellsboro Electric will match every dollar donated. Your $1 becomes $2 to help your neighbors in need. All contributions are matched 100% and every penny from these funds is used to provide energy assistance grants.
